Muslims are free to practice their faith and to reside in this country. They are not acceptable in any position where the can impose their beliefs on our country. Alla is first and foremost and is in direct conflict with the Constitution. I know some Muslims who are fine people. I also know a bit of what the koran is all about.

I'd would take that would step farther. I think its unacceptable for anyone to try and impose their beliefs on others through a position of power.

Arif Alikhan is formerly Deputy Mayor of Homeland Security and Public Safety for the City of Los Angeles. He was appointed to the position by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in November 2006, replacing Maurice Suh who formerly held the position.[1] Prior to this job, Alikhan worked for the United States Department of Justice as the overseer of a computer hacking program.[1] Alikhan has also been the Vice Chairman and Executive Director of the Justice Department's Intellectual Property Task Force.[2][3]

Alikhan has a long career in law enforcement and homeland security. [4] He has been recognized by the United States Department of Justice for his superior performance in a Management and Supervisory Role while serving as the first Chief of the Cyber and Intellectual Property Crimes Section at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles.[5] Based on his work in Los Angeles, he was brought to Washington D.C. to work as a Senior Adviser to both Attorney General John Ashcroft and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to handle cybercrime and intellectual property issues for the Justice Department. He was then appointed as Deputy Mayor in Los Angeles by Mayor Villaraigosa.

Alikhan was recently appointed to the Obama Administration as the Assistant Secretary for Policy Development at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In this position, he oversees the coordination and development of DHS policy issues ranging from counter-terrorism efforts and disaster preparedness, to cyber and cargo security.[6][7]

Arif Alikhan was born in 1968 after his parents emigrated to North America from India and Pakistan in the late 1960s

Seems Ok

Born in Damascus, Syria, Kareem W. Shora holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the West Virginia University (WVU) College of Law. Shora went on to serve as a legal associate at the West Virginia Office of the Attorney General, the WVU Immigration Law Clinical Program, and the Columbia Energy Corporate Law Department. He is currently the Director of the American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee's legal department. He is also a professor of foreign policy in the American University Washington Semester Program.

Shora was once a guest speaker at the National Lawyers Guild's Annual Conference.

In 2003 Shora received the American Immigration Lawyers Association's Human Rights Award. He has been a frequent on-air guest at many national and international media outlets -- including Al Jazeera television, National Public Radio, and Pacifica Radio -- where he has spoken on such topics as civil rights, civil liberties, and immigration policies.

Shora assisted in producing the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights' (LCCR) report on racial profiling, entitled Wrong Then, Wrong Now: Racial Profiling Before and After September 11. He also helped put together the LCCR's 2004 updated edition of Cause for Concern: Hate Crimes in America. He co-authored the ADC's 1998-2000 Report on Hate Crimes and Discrimination Against Arab Americans, as well as a 2002 publication titled Report on Hate Crimes and Discrimination Against Arab Americans: The Post-September 11 Backlash.

Shora has been a blogger on the Organizing for America section of President Barack Obama's website. In 2009, Obama appointed him to the Homeland Security Advisory Council in the Department of Homeland Security.

This person seems a little suspect. Is he even an American Citizen?
