My buddy Montana is still around, he just doesn't come on 4m anymore and that's a shame. All he ever wanted to do was keep people informed and chart each race that he covered, but some jealous people on 4m had a severe problem with that just because of their own insecurities.

He's been down in New Zealand and Austrailia working on a business venture he's really proud of. I do know that he told me a week ago he's going to be in Las Vegas in a couple weeks for the Western All Stars weekend. I just might fly out there and see him

I do know this much; he really admired and thought the world of all of his friends and fans on here. I doubt if he'll ever come back on here doing updates but you never know. I agree with what has been said; he is sorely missed, he did make a great contribution to the world of dirt late model racing and this website.

He's one of a kind, too bad everyone didn't see that

Default He was a HACK at best!!!

I cant believe anyone would miss a guy that gave his updates by "copy and paste" off other message boards. I made a posts one time as to why he had CJ Rayburn in both concys races at the same time and he came up with some smart azz answer.
Back in the day race updates came from people like PAL-U that were at the track at the time of the race and not in there living room 1500 miles away from the track posting from another message board.
Other people besides me called him out on other things that he posted and he tucked tail and ran.

Most of his updates came from internet radio broadcasts. (dirtvision and racetalklive)

What if his updates were taken from the internet, at least he took the time to post all of what he did, where else would you last two jealous people have had qualifying posted as accurately and as quickly as he had it ?v And I do know a great many people read his posts after hours like myself who worked at night and could not be in front of their computers to listen to the races like you last two posters !

I'm real glad now after reading these last two jealous posters that he won't be doing it anymore, you type of people don't deserve someone like him making life a little easier for all of us fans

Actually I admire Montana, I was just making the point you can't copy and paste a radio broadcast! Their is no way i could type as fast as those announcers talk! He even knows the proper spelling of drivers I had never heard of. Hope to see Montana back soon!

I did not care where or how he got the results. Alto I agree about PAL-U and the job he done was great. No one could keep up with Montana and he serviced many more fans on 4M than anyone else. Notice all the inquires about results now, the mis-information on some of the results that are given?
I enjoyed coming home from the track and reading his results or just following the results as only Montana could do.

MS ANITA ; WHEN YOU SEE MONTANA TELL HIM HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATED HIM . EPEC. US THAT US WAS JUST BE ABLE TO GET DAIL-UP. I COULD ONLY GET IT UNTIL THIS YEAR AND I HAVE DSL NOW. BUT THEN MONTANA WAS ALL WE HAD TO RELEY ON AND HE WAS GRRRREAT !!!!!!

SOME THAT ONLY HAD DAIL-UP WANTED THEM FROM DIXIE THIS TIME AND NOBODY WAS DOING IT SO I TRIED TO PUT THEM HERE WHILE I WAS LISTENING ON THE INTERNET FOR THEM. IT WAS VERY HARD FOR ME.

SOME CAME BACK AND SAID THANKS SO THAT MADE IT WORTH IT. I SURE OTHERS SEEN MY MISTAKES WHICH WERE MANY.

YOU JUST HAVE TO IGNORE SOME FOLKS ON HERE. THE HAVE NEVER MADE MISTAKES BEFORE I GUESS.

HE STILL FOLKS ON HERE THAT MISS HIM.

I'll chime in and say how much I miss him also. It was great to come home from races and read his results and updates. I also followed his updates even if I was listening to dirtvision. Really miss him and would like him back. I haven't seen a single complainer post results like he has. They have just ruined it for those of us that did appreciate it.

He was always the one place to get results....accurate and fast. It is hard to believe a few people had to trash him. Unfortunately, computers allow small minded people feel big!

IN DEFENSE Of MONTANA AND HIS ABSENTS FROM 4m.

Well I guess I am relatively new to the computer and race results thing. Been messing with it maybe 8 to 9 years now and got to know Montana real well, and respect his work and time even more. In fact we are good enough friends that we talk back and forth on the phone pretty often. I do know for a fact that there are 6 or 7 people here on 4m can find nothing but sarcasm and bashing remarks about his time and work that he puts in giving us more appreciative people the results. He keeps me pretty up to date where and when he will post results on a given night and I really appreciate his friendship and his work that he puts out for the results. I don't care if it's cut and pasted or it's a transcript from a network broadcasted of a race, at least it's listed and it's organized. Also if he is doing a race with Racetalk,[with Dustin Jarrett] or a race with [Dave Saye] he just about knows the next line or the next race before they do, alot of the times, His knowledge of the drivers and the spelling of their name, the car owners and their names the series and who's racing the Majority time in that series. One thing for sure with Montana's posting was fast, accurate, with good spelling. So see I am not really a loser of his work, but a lot of other individual are.. If the 3 or 4 MODERATORS of 4m would have stepped up and covered his back he would more then likely still be right here post, Funny thing is the moderator know who they are but will step forward to correct the problem, and after awhile it gets old, hearing the same old s h i t over and over after ever posting. SO I don't blame him a bit we will try to the ones that really want to know I will post it.
